Rick attended local schools and enlisted in the Air Force at age 19. In the Air Force he was a Financial Analyst, and was deployed in 1992 to serve in Operation Desert Storm working as the Asst Dir of Postal Operations. In 1994 Rick retired from the Air Force. After retirement, Rick worked for the Postal Service as a mail carrier in Urbana for 5 years. He became a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Realty Assoc in 2000. Rick earned the Presidents Club honor in 2002 and the prestigious 100% club honors in 2003, 2004,2005,2006, 2007 and 2008. In April 2009 Rick received his Brokers License and in October 2010 Rick moved his business to Prudential Snyder Real Estate, Champaign. Rick works with both buyers and sellers but specializes in real estate investments working with seasoned and first time investors. Rick and his wife, Sue opened Wedig Property Management in September 2009 to manage single family homes, townhouses and condos owned by third party investors. In 2010 Fawn Newsom joined WPM as a partner. Rick and Sue have been married over 30 years and have two adult sons and two grandsons.
