Barbara Sue incorporated Barbara Sue Seal Properties in 1983 after working the real estate industry in the metropolitan area for seven years. She built the organization to a billion dollar a year sales volume. In the fall of 1997 she sold the firm to New Jersey based NRT, which added the national Coldwell Banker connections to the operation. The firm still maintains both names. Barbara Sue serves as a consultant to the firm as well as maintaining her personal clientele. She has never stopped selling, averaging 10 to 20 million a year since 1976. She has served on a dozen charity boards in the metro area including a Regent at the University of Portland, Board of Oregon Graduate Institute, Board of Associated Oregon Industries, Board of Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Advisory Board of St. Vincent's Hospital, Board of Portland Chamber of Commerce to name a few.
