My name is Ruth Chausse, and I’ve lived in the Columbia River Gorge since 1988. I came here because within 40 miles in any direction I can hike the rain forest, ski high alpine mountains, run and ride in the desert or beautiful green valleys. I can not imagine a better place to have settled. The small communities through out the Gorge offer the type of intimacy that is very hard to come by. I can honestly say that I have not ever had so many wonderful friends. I truly enjoy helping new people settle here and share in this wonderful experience. The Gorge is an amazing place to live, work and play! I’m a great listener. Sounds simple, but when you’re looking to buy or sell a piece of property a good listener is the person who can help you get what you need and want.
