A native of Polk County, NC; I moved back to the area 8 years ago with my husband and two boys (now ages 15 and 8). We wanted a slower paced kind of lifestyle and area in which to raise our children. There are so many wonderful opportunities for cultural enrichment as well. The Tryon/Polk County area is rich with local galleries, artisans, musicians, wineries, and theater – just to name a few.
